We really enjoyed our stay and staff was very friendly and always willing to help. We highly recommend it. We booked a small double bedroom for Easter, and arrived early to the hotel. We were able to leave our luggage stored until we checked in, free of charge. The room was located on first floor. Even though it was small, it was very comfortable. It included a TV and a fridge with complimentary still and sparkling water. The bathroom was nice (and big!). The hotel also has a restaurant where breakfast is served. Breakfast was good value for money, with a nice variety of options. We also had burgers one night, which were delicious. We will definitely be returning to Wards Hotel on our nexr visit to Folkeston.

This was our second overnight stay when travelling abroad and taking an early shuttle to France. Located 10 minutes walk to the beach path and 12 minutes drive to Eurotunnel. Friendly staff, tea and coffee making in the room, fridge, free filtered water, a tasty breakfast and free parking, comfortable bed and lovely big bathroom - all you need for the start of a holiday! Spent a fabulous afternoon, after arriving in Folkestone, walking along the stunning coastline and eating fresh fish right on the beach. We enjoyed a drink in the hotel garden. The food at the hotel looked delicious too. Folkestone is well worth a longer stay. Thanks - will definitely stay again.

The breakfast cook was amazing, she was very quick, efficient and food delicious. The young man who was doing the cocktails on the evening of Sunday 21st August also helped to provide my sandwich for my evening meal. I couldn't eat a proper meal but had soup and a really good boiled egg sandwich on brown with salad. Beautifully displayed on the plate. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Staff were really good. Hotel is obviously being updated in stages but dining area and the bar were very good. Our room was clean, beds were good and water and fizzy water provided which was a good point. Very quiet on top floor.

Staff were super friendly! Special shout out to the woman on breakfast service--she was lovely! The room was really big (room 7) with plenty of space for our stuff. Nice that it also had a fridge in the room plus a kettle. I was surprised by how powerful the shower was (we stayed in a different room before and the shower wasn't great). Bed was comfortable and I liked the picnic tables out front--good place for a beer post check-in. Bonus points for being extremely dog-friendly--our dog was welcome in the room as well as the bar and restaurant. Breakfast was good!

The family were delightful, nothing was too much trouble, even offering a lemon drink etc., when I had a cold. My room was small for a two week stay, Raj offered to relocate me, but after travelling for a long while, I slept so well in the bed, I declined!! The room and I got on well. Meals were delicious. And Dylan makes a mean Espresso martini, a must have.
